Maxicare – Go Kim Pah Scholarship Grant
Maxicare Health Corporation and Equitable Foundation, Incorporated are offering a four- year scholarship grant for one student every year who will enroll in the Doctor of Medicine course at Cebu Doctors’ University College of Medicine equivalent to the grantee’s tuition and miscellaneous fees.
Who Are Qualified
- An applicant must have been accepted for the incoming First Year class of Cebu Doctors’ University College of Medicine.
- The applicant must not have received a grade lower than 2.25 or its equivalent from his or her pre-medical course or courses.
- The applicant’s family does not have adequate means of providing for the applicant’s medical education as evidenced through
- The latest Income Tax Returns (2 preceding years) including certificates of tax withheld on compensation of each employed or self-employed parent or sibling of the applicant
- Notarized statement of assets and liabilitiesSketch of the applicant’s residence address with photographic evidence
- The applicant and other members of the family are of reputable background as supported by a Good Moral Character Certification and Barangay Clearance.
Conditions of The Grant
- Obtaining a grade lower than 80% in any subject during the term of the grant shall result in a review of the suitability of the grantee to continue receiving the grant.
- Any misconduct or breach of the rules and regulations of Cebu Doctors’ University College of Medicine shall be ground for termination of the grantee’s eligibility.
- The grantee shall be required, upon graduating from the Institution and passing the medical board exams, to either
- a) practice medicine in a provincial or rural area for at least two (2) years, or
- otherwise engage in any other pursuits related to the profession that directly respond to the call of public service
