Student Affairs Office (SAO)

The Student Affairs Office work to provide support to the student’s personal and academic success, create and implement programs that promote student’s conducive avenues for learning, leadership development, and engagement in collaborative work with local and global partnership.

Our Mission

The Student Affairs Office aims to provide relevant services and program to achieve Cebu Doctors’ University’s virtue of wellness, integrity, service, and excellence through the collaborative partnership with other institutions that promote the best interest and welfare of every student and cater to the development of a transformational leader and service-driven individual for the betterment of the university and to society.

Our Vision

The Student Affairs Office envisions an office that provides relevant support services in producing world-class health care professionals with excellent standards of ethical behavior in the conduct of service and profession.

Our Duty

1. Coordinates and supervises school-initiated or school-approved student activities such as, but not limited to, intramurals, excursions, field trips or social-cultural programs.

2. Takes charge of student discipline and supervises the implementation of sanctions for light, less serious and grave offenses.

3. Investigates reported cases of misbehavior, assesses pertinent facts, and summarily imposes proper sanctions for light offenses.

4. Conducts the preliminary investigation process for less serious and grave offenses and, if warranted, recommends to the Vice President for Academic Affairs the convening of the Discipline Committee pursuant to and consistent with the requirements of due process.

5. Provides exemption, whenever deemed appropriate, to the university policy relative to the observance of the prescribed students’ dress code.

6. Supports the organization, activities and processes of the Supreme Student Government.

7. Grants initial and periodic recognition to co-curricular or extra-curricular student organizations upon showing full compliance of the requirements relative thereto.

8. Supervises the preparation of or provides technical advice in the production of school publications.

9. Takes charge in the dissemination of university information relevant to public interest.

CDU Student Publication

The Stethoscope

​The Stethoscope is the Official Student Publication of Cebu Doctors’ University that aims to provide avenues for the students in honing their skills in the writing communication and its related discipline. This serves as an opportunity for the students to express their thoughts, ideas and creativity through the school publication. As such, the Stethoscope facilitates the publication of the school’s activities that corresponds to the students.

Student Publication

The University provides a school organ that serves as an instrument to promote students’ literary and journalistic skills for the dissemination of college news, activities, events, and achievements.

Student Organizations

The Student Affairs Office evaluates yearly the performance of recognized school organizations for renewal or recognition based on set guidelines. Cebu Doctors’ University adheres to R.A. 8049, also known as Anti-Hazing Act of 1995 as strengthened by R.A. 11053, also known as Anti-Hazing Act of 2018 regulating and prohibiting student organizations, fraternities, and sororities to conduct hazing or any violent physical act of initiation or ritual. Such organization or group organized by and for students shall not be recognized by the university and therefore considered as unauthorized or illegal whenever found to have an activity conducted within or outside the campus (see details in Accreditation and Re-accreditation of Student Organizations Policies and Procedures [CDU-SAO-032]).

Issuance of Admission Slip

The Admission Slip serves as a temporary pass for students who still have no uniforms and/or school ID. This slip allows a student to enter the University and its facilities and attend classes without any disruption while their uniform or ID-related concerns are being addressed (see details in Policies and Procedures for Admission Slip Issuance [CDU-SAO-070]).

Lost and Found

The Lost and Found service in Cebu Doctors’ University aims to ensure that a record is kept of all items reported lost by their owners within the University premises and that property that are found within the University premises are maintained securely, kept safely, and returned to their rightful owner whenever possible and when not possible, disposed of properly. School ID Releasing

The School ID in Cebu Doctors’ University aims to serve various purposes related to student identification and security within the University. They help students recognize and verify individuals, control access to specific areas, track attendance, contribute to overall school security, and aid emergency situations. Additionally, school IDs may be an access to library and resource usage, student support services, and discount offers for various services or products (see details in Policies and Procedures for Releasing of CDU School ID [CDU-SAO-072]).

Locker Rental

The student locker rental aims to provide a secure and convenient space for students to organize their personal belongings while they navigate their academic and personal journey in Cebu Doctors’ University (see details in Student Locker Rental Policies and Procedures [CDU-SAO-061]).

Clearance Signing

Signing of University Clearance is a process where students and alumni are affirmed to have met all academic, financial, and administrative obligations required by the university. The university may establish specific deadlines, documentation requirements, and procedures for verifying compliance to ensure the orderly processing of clearances. Yearbook

The Yearbook (Dawn) of Cebu Doctors’ University aims to commemorate and highlight meaningful events and achievements of the students and the institution during their stay of duration in an academic year. This will also serve to immortalize a historical memory book or record of the past that promotes the University’s pride and unity through the years (see details in Yearbook (Dawn) Policies and Procedures [CDU-SAO-053]).

Supreme Student Council

What is SSC all about? The Supreme Student Council (SSC) is the foremost co-curricular student organization authorized to operate and implement pertinent programs, projects and activities in schools nationwide. It lays the groundwork for good governance, volunteerism, unity and cooperation by providing the students various venues where they can improve their leadership knowledge, skills and attitudes. It trains students to become better members of society in accordance with the ideals and principles of participatory democracy and good citizenship.
