The Guidance Services Office is a student services office within the University, focused on nurturing the holistic development of every student. It strives to support students in their academic, personal-social, and career growth, guiding them toward becoming well-rounded individuals who are prepared for both challenges and opportunities.

Our Goals

1. Facilitate awareness of students’ skills, traits, and attitudes towards understanding the self and others (Personal-Social)

2. Create a supportive environment which will help them develop a healthy mindset and equip them with effective learning strategies toward academic success (Academic)

3. Promote career growth by providing psychoeducational activities for career preparedness that will mold them to become ethical and service-driven professionals (Career)

4. Establish data-driven programs and collaborative activities among academic and non-academic offices (as student support service)

5. Provide psychosocial support to faculty and non-teaching personnel to promote health and well-being (service to CDU Community)

Individual Inventory

It is the gathering of information through standardized tests on the individual’s abilities, aptitudes, interests, and personal characteristics to assist him/her in gaining self-understanding.

Referral and Follow-up Services

Refers to the practice of helping clients find the needed expert assistance that the office cannot provide.  It also refers to the systematic monitoring of individual progress of students who have undergone counseling, referral, or any related special intervention program.

Other Services

Includes the issuance of a Good Moral Certificate, Practicum Supervision, and Professional Growth and Development.

Testing Services

It is the gathering of information through standardized tests on the individual’s abilities, aptitudes, interests, and personal characteristics to assist him/her in gaining self-understanding.

Counseling Service

Provides individual/s the opportunity to make wise decisions and come up with a resolution to his/her problems. Counseling can be done either individually or by group, through referral or voluntary.

  • Onsite or Online Voluntary Counseling- To avail of the Counseling Service, the student shall fill out the Consent and Intake Form from the Guidance Services Office.

  • Onsite or Online Referral Counseling- To refer a student for counseling, the referrer shall fill out the Referral Form from the Guidance Services Office.

Research and Evaluation Services

The process of determining the effectiveness of guidance activities, methods, and programs. Also,  assists the school administration in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the different student support services through evaluation surveys.
