The Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD), Major in Orthodontics at Cebu Doctors’ University is a three-year, full-time residency program designed to develop advanced knowledge and clinical competence in orthodontic diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient management. The program provides structured clinical training through exposure to a diverse range of malocclusions and orthodontic treatment modalities, with emphasis on the progressive development and completion of orthodontic cases.

Throughout the program, residents undertake supervised clinical activities involving patient consultation, examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, case presentation, active treatment, case monitoring, appliance management, finishing, and debonding. Residents are required to complete 324 clinical hours and successfully manage ten orthodontic cases, consisting of five original cases and five transfer cases. Through this comprehensive training, the program prepares residents to demonstrate competency in both extraction and non-extraction treatment approaches and meet established clinical standards for graduation.
