MANDAUE CITY, CEBU — September 14, 2026 — Cebu Doctors’ University – College of Allied Medical Sciences (CDU-CAMS), through the Department of Medical Technology, successfully conducted its Semiannual Blood Donation Drive at the CDU North Atrium, bringing together members of the University community in support of a meaningful and life-saving cause.
Guided by the message, “Be the reason someone lives. Donate blood,” the annual initiative encouraged students, faculty, staff, and members of the CDU community to extend compassion through the simple yet powerful act of blood donation. The activity emphasized the vital role of voluntary blood donation in providing lifesaving blood to patients who rely on transfusions.
For CDU-CAMS, the drive also served as an opportunity to turn health education into community action. Through collective participation, members of the CDU community continued to a cause that extends beyond the campus and directly supports patients in need.

The initiative also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3): Good Health and Well-Being, which promotes healthy lives and well-being for all.
It also contributes to SDG 17 or Partnerships for the Goals by fostering collective participation and collaboration among the CebuDoc Group of Hospitals in Cebu and the University community toward a shared health-related objective.
Held semiannually, the Blood Donation Drive reflects CDU-CAMS’ continuing commitment to health awareness, community involvement, and service. It reinforces the importance of collective action in helping ensure that patients in need have access to a safe and sufficient blood supply.
You Give. They Live. Donate Blood. Save Lives.
