The College of Rehabilitative Sciences at Cebu Doctors’ University celebrated another milestone in the June 2026 Occupational Therapists Licensure Examination, producing the nation’s 1st Place, Edsh Ryle S. Rosales, OTRP, and 7th Place, Samantha M. Abadilla, OTRP. This achievement reflects CDU’s commitment to developing globally competitive healthcare professionals through quality instruction and intensive clinical training.
For both topnotchers, success was built on the solid academic foundation provided by the University’s Occupational Therapy Department. Throughout their undergraduate journey they underwent rigorous academic preparation, including comprehensive examinations, case discussions, practical assessments, revalidas, intensive patient presentations (IPPIs), and extensive clinical exposures that mirror the demands of professional practice and the licensure examination.

Beyond academics, CDU cultivated an environment that prioritized students’ well‑being. During the board review period the department held regular “Kamustahan” sessions to check on graduates, offering encouragement and emotional support as they prepared for a major professional milestone.
Rosales said the University’s academic rigor gave her the confidence to tackle the board examinations, and that faculty members’ ongoing guidance and genuine concern became a steady source of strength during her review. Abadilla credited CDU with preparing her through challenging practical exams, mock board tests, extensive clinical experience, and continuous faculty mentorship that extended beyond graduation. She highlighted that consistency, not perfection, was the key to her success.
In a message to future board takers, Rosales advised: “To future board exam takers, never forget to listen to yourself. Work hard, but never lose who you are. No dream is worth losing yourself for, and no setback can take away the person you are becoming.”

As the University celebrates this achievement, CDU extends its heartfelt congratulations to the board passers, faculty, families, and the entire College of Rehabilitative Sciences community. Rosales’s and Abadilla’s accomplishments testify to what determination, faith, and quality education can achieve together. With another strong performance in the Occupational Therapists Licensure Examination, Cebu Doctors’ University reaffirms its tradition of shaping leaders and inspiring future generations of healthcare professionals.
